4. Following her husband's death, she courageously battled against the British and led a rebellion.
5. She fearlessly fought the British forces with her son secured on her back.
6. After her husband's death in 1853, the British annexed Jhansi under the Doctrine of Lapse, despite her adoption of Damodar Rao.
7. She was granted a lifetime pension but refused to cede Jhansi, famously declaring 'Meri Jhansi nahin dungi'.
