Veteran Telugu actor and former Andhra Pradesh MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away at the age of 83 due to prolonged illness at his residence in Filmnagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He died just three days after celebrating his 78th birthday on 10 July 2025, ending a remarkable career spanning over five decades in Indian cinema where he appeared in more than 750 films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam languages. He is survived by his wife Rukmani Rao and two daughters, Pavani and Pallavi.
