She was compelled to cease her athletic training after sustaining a knee injury. She qualified as a barrister in 2018 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Birmingham. She entered politics in 2020 as a member of the Anguilla Progressive Movement and was elected to the Anguilla House of Assembly representing Valley South. She served as Minister for Education and Social Development from 2020 until 2025. In February 2022, she served as acting premier for ten days, becoming the youngest person to hold the position in Anguillan history.
