Achievements	In 2021, he became the first Indian to win a medal at any World Championship in speed skating. He represented India at the Junior World Championship in the 15 km elimination event. On 2 October 2023, he was part of India's bronze medal-winning men's 3000 m relay team at the 2022 Asian Games. In 2025, he was part of the India bronze medal-winning men's 1000 m sprint team at the 2025 World Games. He started training under Italian coach Luca Presti in 2025. He won a bronze in the 1000 m sprint at the World Games in Chengdu in August 2025, marking India’s first-ever medal in roller sports at the World Games. On 15 September 2025, he won a gold medal in the 1000 m sprint at the Speed World Championship, becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal in skating in any World Championship. In the same tournament, he also secured a bronze in the 500 m sprint.

1. Anandkumar grew up in Tamil Nadu, India and has been passionate about skating since the age of 6.
