| 1. SV Bhatti is a Judge of the Supreme Court of India. |

| 4. Justice Bhatti joined the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh on 21 January 1987 and started his legal practice in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad. |
| 5. He took on various roles, such as being the standing counsel for organizations like Hindustan Shipyard and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). |
| 6. Specializing in environmental laws, he also had interests in civil laws, labor and industrial laws, and constitutional matters. |
| 7. On 12 April 2013, he was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. |
| 8. During his time as a judge in the Kerala High Court, Justice Bhatti gave noteworthy judgments on a range of subjects including tax deductions for nuns and the regulation of lottery ticket sales. |
| 9. He chaired the Kerala High Court Legal Services Committee. |
| 10. From 1 June 2023 to 13 July 2023, he served as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. |
| 11. On 14 July 2023, Justices Ujjal Bhuyan and SV Bhatti were sworn in as Supreme Court judges, enlarging the top court's working capacity to 32. |
| 12. Justice Bhatti previously held the position of President of the Board of Governors of the Kerala Judicial Academy. |
| 13. His retirement is scheduled for 5 May 2027. |
| 14. He began his legal practice in the Trial Court at Madanapalle before moving to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. |
| 15. He served as Special Government Pleader in the office of Advocate General between 2000 and 2003. |
