For the sensational 654 runs in the 2007 season of English County Cricket, Jonny was named the winner of the Young Wisden Schools Cricketer of the year award.
In the 2008 season, he played second XI cricket for Yorkshire, scoring 308 runs in 6 matches at an average of 61.60.
Bairstow, being a wicket keeper, has twice claimed nine dismissals in a test match; first against South Africa in January 2016 and second against Sri Lanka in May 2016.
Bairstow was named in the England squad for the 2012 series against West Indies because of the fact that he had hit two centuries for Yorkshire and Ravi Bopara at that time was injured and could not be added to the squad.
