Jimit was born to Gujarati parents.
He started doing acting at a very young age and performed at various stage shows.
He later started working as a theatre artist. Jimit’s first play was Dilip Joshi’s starrer ‘Jalsa Karo Jayntilal’ in which he worked as a backstage guy.
Jimit got a breakthrough role in 2007 in the Bollywood film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ as Chandu/Goti.
He also played lead roles in famous Gujarati films like ‘Gujjubhai The Great’ (2015) as Bakul Buch, ‘Polam Pol’ (2016) as Duggi, and ‘GujjuBhai – Most Wanted’ (2018) as Khagesh Divetia.
He played a supporting role in the 2018 Bollywood film 102 Not Out starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.
