1. Dinkar Gupta served as Director-General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and previously as Director-General of Police (DGP) for the Government of Punjab.

3. Dinkar's father-in-law, BB Mahajan, was also an IAS officer in the Punjab cadre.
