| 1. Bashir was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, as the 4th child of Sayyed Nazir and Aaliya Begum. |
| 2. He was known as an obedient and respectful child during his childhood. |
| 3. Bashir began writing poetry when he was just seven years old. |
| 4. At the age of 16, he had to leave his studies to support his family due to his father's illness. |
| 5. Due to communal unrest, Bashir lost all his belongings when his house was burned down. |
| 6. After moving to Bhopal, he met his future wife Dr. Rahat, who encouraged him to resume his writing. |
| 7. Bashir has published over 7 poetry collections in Urdu and 1 in Hindi. |
| 8. His works have been translated into English and French languages. |
| 9. Bashir has also held the position of chairman at the Urdu Akademi. |
| 10. He taught Urdu at Aligarh Muslim University and later served as a lecturer and head of the department at Meerut College for 17 years. |
| 11. He received his PhD degree from Aligarh Muslim University in 2021, 47 years after it was conferred in 1973. |
