The Haryana State Commission for Women directed the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of Panchkula and Panipat to arrest Badshah and confiscate his passport. This directive came after Badshah failed to appear before the commission by the 3 PM deadline regarding the controversy surrounding his song 'Tateeree', which was condemned by women's groups for misogynistic lyrics and sexualized imagery.

Badshah issued a public apology via a video message on his Instagram account, stating he never intended to offend anyone with his song 'Tateeree'. He emphasized his Haryanvi roots and explained that the lyrical style was meant to challenge rivals in the hip-hop genre, not to target women or minors. The song and its related video were subsequently removed from his official YouTube channel and other social media platforms.

The Haryana Police initiated a manhunt for rapper Badshah and began the process to issue a Look Out Circular to prevent him from leaving the country. This action followed an FIR registered against him by the Cyber Crime Police in Panchkula for alleged objectionable lyrics and visuals in his recently released Haryanvi track, 'Tateeree'.

Badshah expressed sorrow on social media after superstar singer Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing. Badshah commented on Singh's announcement post, writing, “Sadiyon mein ek,” indicating his high regard for Singh's talent and career.
