1. Babulal Marandi is an Indian tribal activist, politician, and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
2. He served as the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2000 to 2003.
3. Marandi established the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) in 2006 and has been elected as an MP five times.
4. In 2023, he became the president of the BJP in Jharkhand.
5. During his time at Ranchi University, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and became a pracharak in Bihar.
