Political Career	Rajesh began his political journey in 1996. He has held the position of BJP state secretary. His roles include serving as the district president of Thiruvananthapuram and as the state president of the BJP Yuva Morcha. In 2021, he contested the Kerala Assembly election from the Vattiyoorkavu constituency but was defeated by CPI(M)’s leader VK Prasanth. He was appointed as Councillor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation for his second term after winning the Kerala local body elections from the Kodunganoor ward by a margin of 515 votes. On 25 December 2025, he became a BJP candidate for the post of Mayor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, leading the party to victory after 45 years.
