| 6. Rakesh Pal oversaw operations on various ICG ships and Coast Guard bases in Gujarat. |
| 7. In February 2022, he was appointed as Additional Director General (ADG) at the Coast Guard Headquarters in New Delhi. |
| 8. Under his leadership, the ICG handled operations capturing illegal substances, conducting rescue missions, and partnering with foreign coast guards. |
| 9. Rakesh Pal presided over the 17th Governing Council Meeting in Singapore in March 2023. |
| 10. He expressed gratitude for being chosen as the 25th DG, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling the Coast Guard's duties and enhancing coastal security. |
| 11. Rakesh Pal commanded various ICG ships including ICGS Samarth, ICGS Vijit, ICGS Sucheta Kriplani, ICGS Ahalyabai, and ICGS C-03. |
| 12. He commanded Coast Guard Stations Okha and Vadinar in Gujarat. |
