1. Nikol Pashinyan was unable to complete his journalism degree due to expulsion for skipping classes.
2. During the late 1990s, he started his newspaper called Armenian Time and served as its Editor.
3. After Sargsyan resigns, Pashinyan asserts himself as the clear leader of the people.
4. He ended his period of hiding and turned himself in to the Armenian police on July 1, 2009.
5. Imprisoned for nearly two years (2009-2011) on charges related to 2008 protests; recognized as prisoner of conscience.
6. Founder of the Civil Contract party.
