In 2004 U-19 World Cup, while he was just 16, managed to bowl 11 wickets out in the tournament and scored 95 runs at an average of 19.0.
While playing against India U-19 in September 2005, he scored 132 runs averaging 44 and claimed 8 wickets in the ODI series.
During 2006 U-19 World Cup, Henriques made 150 runs and finished the tournament as a leading wicket-taker claiming 16 wickets in 5 matches.
In October 2006, he took a 5 wicket haul in a first-class match against Queensland and became the youngest New South Wales cricketer to have the record.

Career Turning Point

Consistency with both the bat and the ball in first-class format got Henriques a chance to represent Australia at the International level

1. Moises Henriques was born in Portugal to a Portuguese professional footballer but moved to Australia at the age of one.
2. As a child, Henriques aspired to be a fast bowler, but he transitioned to being a seamer after multiple injuries.
3. While his playing style is often likened to Shane Watson, Henriques looks up to Jacques Kallis as his role model.
4. Endeavour School in Sydney renamed a field in honor of Henriques, an esteemed alumnus, with a special gateway erected at the entrance.
5. In 2004, Henriques was awarded the first Rexona Australian Youth Cricket Scholarship with support from Ricky Ponting.
6. For the 2009 IPL season, he was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders for $300,000.
7. In 2010, he was traded to Delhi Daredevils in a swap deal involving Manoj Tiwary.
8. Henriques was selected for the Australian test team squad in February 2013, becoming the second Portuguese-origin player after Dick Westcott.
9. Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired Henriques for $166,000 in 2014, and he has been retained by the team since then.
