Disrespectful Post on Indian Flag: In early 2024, Mariyam Shiuna posted on social media an edited image of an opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) campaign poster, replacing a compass with a symbol resembling the Ashok Chakra from the Indian National Flag, along with a caption criticizing the MDP.
