M. Natarajan (Maruthappa Natarajan) was a behind-the-scenes political operator in Tamil Nadu who wielded significant influence in the AIADMK party from the early 1980s onwards. He gained prominence through his marriage to V.K. Sasikala, who became a close aide to former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Though he maintained a low public profile, Natarajan was instrumental in key political decisions within the AIADMK, particularly during the party's split in 1988 following M.G. Ramachandran's death.
