1. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is an Indian transgender rights activist, dancer, and writer.
2. She serves as the Acharya Mahamandaleshwar or Chief of Kinnar Akhara to promote Hinduism and support the LGBTQ+ community.
3. She comes from an orthodox Brahmin family background.
4. In 1998, she made the decision to live as a Hijra.
5. Tripathi established the 'DAI'M Welfare Society' in 2002 and the 'Astitiva Trust' in 2007.
